Technical Equipment Unable to Approach Fire Areas at Tsitsernakaberd, 9 Firefighting Units Working

The fire that broke out near the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex has not yet been extinguished. This was reported to NEWS.am by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, stating that currently, 9 firefighting units are operating at the site.

"The fire is in such an area that vehicles cannot approach, and water cannot be used. Our personnel are extinguishing the fire using personal means, such as shovels and cloths," stated the press service.

A total of 50 rescuers are participating in firefighting efforts, along with 3 water trucks from the municipality. Earlier, we reported that the '911' service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call today, July 14, at 20:24, about a fire in the vicinity of the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex in Yerevan, where a grassy area is burning.

In response to the complexity of the fire, six firefighting units from the Ministry's Rescue Service were dispatched to the scene under the '1-BIS' call. Emergency response and operational groups from the National Crisis Management Center also arrived. At 21:23, an additional two firefighting units were dispatched under a '2' call due to the complexity of the situation.
