Paying Terminal Broken in Yerevan, Large Sum of Money Stolen

On July 11, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 11:30, the central police department received a call reporting that between 02:50 and 08:00 of the same day, an unidentified individual or individuals used technical means to break into a paying terminal owned by "Easy Pay" LLC, located at 16 Koryun Street, adjacent to the Matenadaran.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the thief or thieves broke the terminal and stole approximately 900,000 drams. An operational group from the central police department arrived at the scene. A group from the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Yerevan investigative department, led by investigator Movsisyan, also arrived to supervise the investigative work.

The police and the investigative department are undertaking necessary operational, investigative, and joint actions to uncover the crime, as well as to identify the perpetrator or perpetrators and recover the stolen money.
