Murder in Tavush Province: 26-Year-Old Dies from Multiple Knife Stab Wounds
A murder occurred a short while ago in Tavush Province. Around 8:50 PM, the Dilijan police received a call reporting that a dispute had taken place in the yard of a house on Hakobjanian Street, and a citizen was found lying on the ground in a bloodied state.
According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan from Tavush Province, the same report was also received by the Dilijan Medical Center, and doctors from the Dilijan hospital transported the injured citizen to the hospital, where he later succumbed without regaining consciousness.
The police and investigators established that the deceased was 26-year-old Gurgen Ghalechyan, a resident of house number 42 in the Kamari neighborhood of Dilijan. According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert, there are multiple signs of injuries on the body caused by a sharp cutting-piercing object, as well as signs of blunt force trauma.
At the scene, police and investigators found wooden clubs, a knife, and traces of blood. According to the photographer's information, the police and investigators have already clarified certain circumstances of the case, which are currently not being disclosed for the benefit of the investigation.
