The Purpose and Meaning of Hayk Marutyan's Proposal Was to Spark Public Discussion: Spokesperson
The aim and essence of the proposal by Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan to reduce the average traffic speed from 60 km/h to 50 km/h was to provoke public discussion. This was stated today by the spokesperson for the Yerevan Mayor's Office, Hakob Karapetyan, during a conversation with journalists.
“The aim of the proposal was to initiate a public debate, and in some respects, that was achieved,” he said.
