Fuel Tanker Explosion in Russia Leaves Four Dead
A fuel tanker exploded in Russia's Sverdlovsk region following a road accident. The blast resulted in the deaths of four individuals and injured eleven others. According to Russian media reports, it was revealed that the driver was in an intoxicated state.
The horrific accident occurred on the night from Saturday to Sunday on the 44th kilometer of the Karpiansk-Kitlim road at 00:15 local time.
Loaded with fuel, the tanker veered off the road into a roadside ditch before the explosion took place. According to the data from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the driver, born in 1968, allowed seven tourists to ride on the cistern and then lost control of the vehicle.
