Police Officer Apprehends Pickpocket During Theft in Yerevan

On July 3, at 22:40, the driver of a police escort unit reported to the operational management center of the Yerevan City Police that a pickpocket had been caught at the intersection of Byuzand and Abovyan Streets.

Officers from the first platoon of the first company of the Yerevan City Police's Patrol Service responded to the scene and presented a resident of Khardjerd to the department.

On July 4, a citizen reported to the police that on July 3, at the mentioned intersection, someone had attempted to steal from her purse by opening the zipper, but thanks to the intervention of the police officer, the theft was unsuccessful. Preparations are underway to address the case.
