The Water from the Pool Near Oshakan has been Drained, Demolition in Progress, Says Governor

The pool installed under the semi-destroyed bridge in Oshakan has been addressed by the sector's responsible department, which I instructed to investigate the issue and provide a solution.

This was stated by Aragatsotn Governor David Gevorgyan in a Facebook post: “The head of the Oshakan community has been offered to dismantle the temporarily installed pool in accordance with established legal procedures and restore the area to its former state. The community leader noted that the pool was installed spontaneously by the residents, and there is no permission granted by the community for its installation. He has committed to dismantling the inflatable temporary pool within a short time frame and ensuring the area is returned to its previous condition.”

According to the governor, the pool's water has already been drained, and the demolition is in process. A deadline of July 15 has been set by the regional administration for restoring the area to its former state.

It’s worth mentioning that photographs of the pool installed in one of the recreational areas of Oshakan were circulated on social networks. The service for the protection of cultural heritage sites and historical environments had approached the Governor of Aragatsotn regarding the dismantling of the pool from the monument's area.
