Heartfelt Congratulations to You: Pashinyan to Donald Trump
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has congratulated the President of the United States, Donald Trump, on the occasion of Independence Day.
In the message, it is stated: “I wholeheartedly congratulate you and the friendly people of the United States on the occasion of Independence Day. The Declaration of Independence of the United States had a significant impact on the subsequent course of world history, serving as a source of inspiration for many nations striving for freedom and democracy.
We are proud that the Armenian-American community has made its unique contribution to the development and prosperity of the United States, serving as an important bridge connecting our two countries.
In the past year, unprecedented changes have occurred in Armenia. Democracy has been reaffirmed in our country. Restrictions on freedom of speech have been lifted. A new government has been formed through free, fair, and transparent elections, which is taking decisive steps towards establishing the rule of law and strengthening democratic achievements.
Today, reforms in the justice system and the fight against corruption are paramount. We greatly appreciate the American financial and technical support provided to Armenia since independence. It has always been of vital importance for the development of our country. The assistance from the United States today will allow us to implement reforms more smoothly and rapidly, making democracy irreversible in Armenia.
I would like to mention with satisfaction the recent inaugural session of the Armenia-U.S. Strategic Dialogue held in Yerevan. It serves as a testimony to the progress of relations based on shared values between our countries. Armenia is interested in enhancing and expanding bilateral cooperation in various fields.
I greatly value the role of the United States in the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group. I am hopeful that through our joint efforts, we will achieve a purely peaceful resolution of the issue, to the benefit of regional stability and security.
Allow me once again to congratulate you and the friendly people of the United States on the occasion of Independence Day, wishing peace, further progress, and well-being.
