Sasun Mikayelyan is First: Hraparak
«Hraparak» newspaper writes: After a significant hiatus, renowned commander of the liberation movement, experienced figure Sasun Mikayelyan spoke before journalists yesterday and delivered a quite extensive address: “If we do not learn lessons, this velvet revolution will turn into a velvet removal… Are we here to change people, or to change people?”
Regarding not being elected as a member of the board at the recent congress of the Civil Contract party, he stated: “It’s natural that I wasn't voted for. Perhaps there were some intrigues going on there, some people formed teams, and that’s why it turned out this way. Sasun Mikayelyan will never be hindered from continuing his work as a member of the CP.”
It is evident that everything is not ideal within the ruling party, although all other CP members claim otherwise. It is also clear that the tactics of the authorities are not unambiguously accepted, and Sasun Mikayelyan is the first to voice this concern. It should be noted that so far his warnings have not been heeded. Another CP member, Hrachya Hakobyan, immediately responded: “We are not facing a velvet removal.” Let's live and see.
