How Much Tobacco and Alcohol Can Be Exported from the EAEU for Personal Use
Restrictions on the export of alcohol and tobacco for personal use from the EAEU territory have been lifted since June 30.
“As of June 30 of this year, the restrictions on the import and export of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic beverages, beer, as well as tobacco and tobacco products for personal use are removed from the Customs Union territory,” stated a message from the Russian Customs Service.
According to forbes.kz, currently, if more than 5 liters of alcoholic products are exported from the Customs Union territory, it is not accepted as goods for personal use, and its transportation is regulated by the rules for trade circulation.
For tobacco, there was a restriction of up to 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars, or a total of no more than 250 grams of tobacco products. These restrictions were applicable for both import and export.
Now, these restrictions apply only to imports. An individual who has reached the age of 18 can import up to 3 liters of alcohol without customs fees.
