VIDEO: Sloppy Asphalt Work, Wheels and Shoes Coated with Tar
Today, the Radio Aurora editorial office received numerous complaints and also sent a video regarding the asphalt work being carried out on various streets of Yerevan.
Despite the fact that the implementation of asphalt work brings joy to our fellow citizens, it also creates many inconveniences for both drivers and pedestrians.
The matter is that the work, according to those who contacted us, is done in a rather sloppy and uncoordinated manner. Trenches are dug on the roads, followed by filling them with tar, after which pothole repairs and asphalting should occur. However, after the trenches are filled with tar, not only is the asphalting not done immediately, but also due to the sloppy work and the flow of vehicles, the tar spreads all over the street, subsequently sticking to car wheels and people’s shoes.
Nevertheless, we contacted the press secretary of the municipality, Hakob Karapetyan, regarding the issue, who agreed that in such cases, citizens are naturally inconvenienced and promised to report these complaints to the companies responsible for asphalt work through the Construction Improvement Department.
The footage shows the work carried out in the Erebuni administrative district, but we also witness the same picture in other parts of the city.
