Tigran Avinyan Calls the Head of the Penitentiary Service to the Government

The newspaper "Jamanak" reports that according to its sources, following the resignation of the Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan has summoned the Head of the Penitentiary Service, Artyom Mkoyan, to discuss the situation in correctional facilities.

Our information indicates that there has also been talk of Artyom Mkoyan's resignation, and it is possible that he may submit a resignation letter soon.

In an interview with the "Jamanak" newspaper, the Head of the Penitentiary Service, Artyom Mkoyan, confirmed the meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and stated, "The meeting you mentioned took place. I was the initiator of the meeting. During the meeting, I presented programs related to the service and requested the allocation of financial resources," he noted, adding, however, that there was no discussion about resignation during the meeting.
