Kocharian's Office Asks Supporters Not to Go to Court and Organize Events

The office of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, has issued a statement. As is known, today at 16:00, the Criminal Court of Appeal of Armenia will announce its decision regarding the appeal by the Office of the Prosecutor General against the decisions of the General Jurisdiction Court of Yerevan to change the preventive measure of arrest for Robert Kocharian and to suspend proceedings in the case.

Considering that the Appeals Court, headed by Armen Danielyan, has not allowed the defense team of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, to present their positions, and has grossly violated the principle of competitive trial by leaving for the deliberation room to make a decision, we declare that neither the former President Kocharian, nor members of the defense team, nor his family members will attend the announcement of the decision today in protest.

We also ask all our supporters and followers not to go to the Court of Appeals today and not to organize any events.
