Murder of 25-Year-Old Woman Solved

On June 25th, the Mashtots Police Department received operational information regarding a murder in one of the houses at the end of 17th street in Norq-Marash. The police operational group discovered the body of 25-year-old Yerevan resident Elen Simonian, wrapped in a sheet and polyethylene. The corpse bore more than a dozen stab wounds, and her face was severely mutilated.

Thanks to urgent and extensive operational-investigative measures taken by the police, the identity of the suspect was established. On the morning of June 26th, officers from the Marash Police Department located the suspect on 17th street in Norq and took him into custody on suspicion of committing the murder. The circumstances surrounding the incident are being clarified, and an investigation is underway.
