Gov't Cottages Accumulate 49 Million AMD Water Debt

The "Kondi Cottages Economy" State Non-Commercial Organization, better known as the "government cottages," has accumulated a water debt of 48 million 910 thousand AMD.

Factor.am has obtained intriguing details about the circumstances under which this debt arose. The issue is that the previous management of the "Kondi Cottages Economy" had for years denied employees of "Veolia Jur" LLC access to the premises to register the actual readings of the water meter. As a result, only the readings provided by the management of the "government cottages" were recorded.

It has become known to Factor.am that as a result of registering the water meter readings based on the data provided by the former management, the figure as of May 29, 2018, amounted to 148058 cubic meters. However, on June 25, 2018, an employee from "Veolia Jur" LLC recorded an actual reading of 473012 cubic meters. This means that in just one month, a consumption of 324954 cubic meters was recorded, clearly indicating that the data provided by the "government cottages" did not reflect the actual consumption, leading to an accumulation of 324954 cubic meters of expenses over the years.

Consequently, to pay off the accumulated water debt of 48 million 910 thousand AMD, the government is set to decide in tomorrow's meeting to transfer funds from the reserve fund to the Prime Minister's office for settling the debt.

It is worth noting that high-ranking officials reside in the governmental summer house. Currently, residing there are the Prime Minister of Armenia, the Speaker of the National Assembly, and the Director of the National Security Service.
