Vetó Holds Emergency Gathering in Front of the Constitutional Court
Led by the Vetó movement, an emergency gathering is taking place today in front of the Constitutional Court to continue the process of restoring the constitutional order.
“The overthrow of the constitutional order in the Republic of Armenia, which was accompanied by the illegal blockade of government buildings, the illegal encirclement of the National Assembly, pressure on members of parliament, the unlawful blocking of court entrances, and public and overt pressure on the judiciary, along with numerous violations of the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Armenia, has reached an intolerable level, turning into a blatant mockery of the Constitution, the rule of law, and common sense,” the movement stated. “Absurdly, anyone can self-appoint themselves to their desired office, disregarding the Constitution and the law.”
The ruling political force has spawned groups of hooligans, which it has declared as “the people,” and troll squads, labeled as “the voice of the people,” through which it imposes its illegal acts on society.
In light of the above, the Vetó socio-political movement announces the launch of a series of actions aimed at restoring the overthrown constitutional order. To this end, Vetó will begin a series of consultations with all political and social forces and concerned individuals with the goal of developing and implementing a roadmap, toolkit, and timeline for the restoration of the constitutional order in Armenia.
We wish to emphasize once again that the entire responsibility for the incitement of hatred being carried out in Armenia, the illogical legal and political outcomes of all its repercussions, and thus for further escalations, tensions, and possible clashes, lies with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan personally.
