Upcoming Decision on Robert Kocharian's Detention Measures
The Criminal Court of Appeal of Armenia is set to announce its decision regarding the appeals by the General Prosecutor’s Office against the decisions of the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court, which pertain to the modification of the detention measure for the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian. This includes the request to appeal to the Constitutional Court and to suspend the proceedings in the case.
It is worth reminding that on May 18, the judge of the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court, David Grigoryan, decided to release Kocharian from detention based on personal guarantees from the former and current presidents of Artsakh, Arkadi Ghukasyan and Bako Sahakyan.
