Tragic Car Accident near Graveyards in Lernajaz Village Leaves One Dead

On June 25, a tragic car accident occurred in the Syunik region. Around 4:50 PM, resident Khachatur Hovhannisyan, 32 years old, lost control of his VAZ 2106, plate number 35 OA 899, while driving near the graveyards of Lernajaz village. The vehicle rolled approximately 60 meters off the road and collided with a high-voltage electric pole in an overturned condition.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver Kh. Hovhannisyan and his passenger, 12-year-old T. S., were taken to the hospital with bodily injuries. Hours later, the hospital notified the Kapan police department that driver Kh. Hovhannisyan had succumbed to his injuries.
