Passengers aboard a bus halted at the Georgian side of the Upper Lars checkpoint for transporting prohibited cargo have been moved to Armenia. The Armenian Embassy in Georgia announced on its Facebook page that on June 25 at 07:00, the bus transporting Armenian citizens from Upper Lars began its journey to Armenia.
It is noteworthy that on June 24 at 06:00, one of the buses belonging to Armenian passenger transport companies was stopped in the Georgian section of the Russian-Georgian Upper Lars checkpoint for transporting prohibited cargo. Specifically, it was found that the bus belonging to the company 'Avazhar Bus' contained half a kilogram of heroin hidden inside a gyroscooter device.
On the evening of June 24, information was disseminated that an additional vehicle provided by the transport company to transport passengers at the border was already in Georgia, and the passengers were provided with food.
