Former President of Georgia Joins the Movement

Former Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili joined the protesters who have been demonstrating in front of the parliament for the sixth consecutive day. He stated, “I respect this podium where a new history is being written. It is regrettable that this history is being written in blood,” referencing the events that took place on June 21. “I believe in a future that will be bright. Here lies the strength, the truth, and a new Georgia. I join the movement,” he added.

The former president addressed the protesters with humor, remarking, “Kobakhidze is that rubbish, Gakharia is that nonsense.” In conclusion, Margvelashvili called upon international partners to come and witness how the new Georgia is fighting against Russian soft power.
