Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister's Claims Do Not Correspond to Reality: Anna Naghdalyan
The spokesperson for the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Anna Naghdalyan, has commented on the recent statement made by Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister.
In response to a question about how she would interpret the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister's latest remarks regarding the consultations held in Washington, Anna Naghdalyan said: “The claims made by Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister do not correspond to reality. Such an approach is counterproductive, which undermines the seriousness of the peace process.
As we mentioned even before the meeting in Washington, issues regarding the escalation of the situation in recent times due to the Azerbaijani side were discussed during it. The co-chairs called for immediate actions to restore a conducive environment for peace and to maintain the ceasefire, and they presented specific proposals regarding humanitarian issues and risk reduction. The misinformation from the Azerbaijani side outside of this framework leads to the conclusion that Azerbaijan is not willing to implement the calls and proposals made by the co-chairs.
