Russia Used Its Most Proven Weapon: Georgia's President Responds
Georgia's President Salome Zourabichvili, in response to the ongoing events in the country, stated: "What happened was a major crime, but that does not justify the artificial wave or the anti-government actions aimed at invading Parliament and overthrowing the Government. Russia is our enemy. Its fifth column can be more dangerous than overt aggression."
"I would like to reiterate that the division of the country and society is needed by no one other than Russia. Today, Russia used its most proven weapon," Zourabichvili added.
As previously reported, anti-Russian protests are currently underway in Georgia. Protesters are demanding the resignation of Parliament Speaker Irakli Kobakhidze, Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Gakharia, and head of the State Security Service Vakhtang Gomelauri within an hour. The protesters are also calling for early parliamentary elections. None of the demands have been fulfilled.
