Samvel Karapetyan Sets Conditions for Pashinyan

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "On the day of the ruling party's congress, Nikol Pashinyan left his fellow party members after the first part and went to 'Malibu' to meet businessman Samvel Karapetyan. The meeting lasted longer than expected; Pashinyan and Karapetyan walked in the newly constructed park, admired the fountains, and then had lunch at the closed cafe 'For Season'.

During their conversation, they discussed new projects and investment opportunities by the Tashir Group. According to information we received, Karapetyan pointed out that in order to expect investments, Pashinyan should abandon his 'shattering and smashing' approach. Despite this, he agreed to cooperate with the Armenian authorities and may soon take back the High Voltage Network (HVL), which the new government took from him a year ago since the contract had not been finalized.

At that time, the Minister of Energy announced that the state deemed it inappropriate to privatize the High Voltage Electricity Networks. Essentially, the attitude has changed sharply after a year. Recently, Ararat Mirzoyan hinted at this while discussing the meeting between Karapetyan and Pashinyan: 'The possibility of purchasing new infrastructure was also discussed. There is talk of serious investments.' He emphasized that he does not know the details." For more details, see today’s issue of the newspaper.
