We Learned About the Start of the War by Talking Among Ourselves: Soldier Who Participated in the Four-Day War

The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports that on April 2, 2016, along the line of contact in Artsakh, at the Martakert positions, conscript soldier and driver Hayk Torosyan sustained a brain injury as a result of military operations, causing weakness on the left side of his body. He had served in the Armenian army for only 80 days.

It is noted that Hayk has a second-degree disability, receiving a pension of 71,000 AMD and an additional 26,000 AMD from the Military Staff Insurance Fund. In an interview with "Zhoghovurd," he recounted that they only learned about the start of the war through conversations with one another, but were already filled with anxiety as they ascended to their positions.

Commenting on the existence of the April War Investigation Committee established in the National Assembly and the potential revelations surrounding it, Torosyan deemed it a delayed step, emphasizing, "If there are cases that should be investigated, let them be investigated, I just don’t know if the verification and relevance of the information will be maintained or not."
