Provocation Will Not Pass - Former Advisor to Pashinyan to Sue Narek Malyan
"Provocation will not pass - we will meet in court": This was stated by former Prime Minister's advisor Arsen Khachatryan on his Facebook page in response to the statements made the previous day by Narek Malyan, the leader of the Veto movement.
Arsen Khachatryan specifically wrote: "I have been thinking for a long time about not responding publicly to the absurd accusations directed at me the day before, as the level of their absurdity is simply laughable. Nevertheless, adhering to the philosophy of public behavior in our country, I find it necessary to address the issue here as well:
On June 17, a young man named Narek Malyan published a video, in which, among other issues, he accuses me of involvement with drugs. Engaging in black PR, deception, and slander to create a public negative image is not the best way to elevate oneself, but if people choose this path, they must also be prepared to face legal consequences. I inform you that in the coming days I will be going to court regarding specific slander. My lawyers and I are also discussing the issue of holding Malyan accountable on other grounds.
The attempts by Malyan and others like him to provoke and insult us will not succeed; nevertheless, I call on all my friends, relatives, and loved ones to refrain from emotional statements or actions. It is clear that their intention is to obtain the status of a political persecuted person in this way and to attempt to evade punishment for their illegalities and arbitrariness during the years of service to the Vovagasparyans, which will not succeed.
P.S. As before, I refrain from touching upon sacred matters in public space due to your irresponsible behavior, as even the thought of lowering myself to your level is offensive to me."
