Strong Winds in Yerevan Uproot Trees, Damaging Vehicles

On June 13, at 22:18, the emergency hotline received a report that a tree had fallen near building number 18 on Aram Khachatryan Street in Yerevan, landing on a parked vehicle. Rescue services were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that the tree had fallen on an Opel Vectra B parked on the street. The rescuers removed the tree branches from the vehicle and secured the other part of the tree until the landscaping workers could arrive.

On June 14, at 03:20, another report was received by the emergency hotline, indicating that a tree had fallen in the yard of building number 41 on Mashtots Avenue, hitting parked vehicles due to the strong winds. Rescuers were again dispatched to the scene.

The fallen tree landed on a VAZ-2102 and a Mercedes ML, damaging an external lighting post. The rescuers cordoned off the area until landscaping personnel could access it.
