Man Grows Cannabis on Mother-in-Law's Property

Officers from the Nor Hachn division of the police, acting upon operational information, detained a 37-year-old resident of Karashamb village on suspicion of drug possession and use on June 12 at 10:00 AM, near the intersection of Nor Geghi village. During a personal search, a greenish, dry, crushed substance weighing approximately 0.48 grams, wrapped in paper, and a separate brown resin-like substance weighing about 1.03 grams were discovered in the man's trousers, alongside a pipe. The man stated that the discovered substances were drugs derived from the cannabis plant, which he kept for personal use.

While preparing the materials, he also provided an explanation that he has planted and cultivated cannabis plants in a backyard area next to his mother-in-law's house in Karashamb village, from which he prepares drugs for his own use.

On the same day, at 3:05 PM, during a search conducted at the specified location, 29 cannabis-like plants, measuring between 30-70 cm and weighing approximately 0.6 kg, were found. These plants were removed from the ground, packaged, sealed, and sent to the forensic laboratory for examination. A toxicological examination has been appointed. Materials are being prepared.
