169 Times Burial Aid Received, Amounting to 33.8 Million Drams
The National Assembly revealed alarming violations related to the Audit Chamber's report. The head of the Chamber noted that there are violations and risks amounting to billions of drams. According to Shantnews.am, it was uncovered that one individual received burial aid 169 times, totaling 33.8 million drams. This is the most acute case, but not the only one of its kind.
With similar violations, 80 individuals received burial aid 448 times, amounting to a total of 89 million drams. The Chamber recorded 10,193 instances within the family benefits system where the risk of distortions threatened 2.3 billion drams of government funds. Benefits were provided to families that were not actually residing at their registered addresses, or whose families operate businesses, among other issues.
