Car Crashes into Barrier on Sevan Road: One Dead

On June 12, at 13:02, the 911 service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information that on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, at the "Chaynin" curves, a vehicle had collided with a barrier, and there were injuries. Rescue assistance was required.

A rescue team from the Specialized Rescue Operations Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was established that a "Volkswagen Vento" car (driver: W.O., born in 1986) had left the roadway and crashed into the barrier at the 25th km mark on the Yerevan-Sevan highway.

Prior to the arrival of the rescuers, the driver and passengers, S.K. (born in 1959) and K.K. (born in 1989), were removed from the vehicle by citizens. The rescuers then assisted the injured and brought them to an ambulance, which transported them to the Abovyan Medical Center. K.K. was pronounced dead, while S.K. and W.O. were later transferred to the "Saint Gregory the Illuminator" Medical Center.
