The Number of Victims in a Major Accident in Ararat Reaches 3

It has been revealed that the number of fatalities from a major and tragic car accident that occurred on June 8 on the 13th km of the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway in the Masis administrative area has reached three.

According to Shamshyan.com, it was determined that the Subaru Legacy was driven by 49-year-old Vahan Karapetyan, a resident of Marmarashen village in Ararat province, who collided with an Opel Vectra belonging to 33-year-old Ashot Karapetyan, a resident of Akunk village in Gegharkunik province, parked on the right side of the road, after which he crashed into a VAZ 2103.

As a result of the accident, Vahan Karapetyan, along with his passengers—34-year-old Armen Andreasyan and 33-year-old Arthur Andrasyan, both from Lusahog village in Ararat province—and the driver A. Karapetyan were transported to the hospital with bodily injuries, where V. Karapetyan, A. Karapetyan, and the next day, A. Andreasyan passed away without regaining consciousness.

The police and investigative department are working to identify the driver of the VAZ 2103. According to sources, the drivers of the parked vehicles were providing assistance to citizens, and when they returned and got into their vehicles, the accident occurred.

A major car accident took place in Ararat province on June 8. At around 14:05, the VAZ 2103 with the license plate 26 TS 145, the Opel Vectra with the license plate 34 TQ 901, and the Subaru with the license plate 35 PC 740 collided on the 13 km section of the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway. As a result of the accident, five individuals were transported to Erebuni Medical Center. Later, it was reported from the hospital that one of the injured individuals had died without regaining consciousness.
