Former City Hall Official's Son Detained
On June 10, using operational data, officers from the community police department of the Arabkir division detained two individuals on suspicion of drug possession and use on Hrachya Kocharyan Street in the Arabkir administrative district.
According to Shamshyan.com, the detained individuals are 32-year-old Karo Kasaryan and 32-year-old Davit Gevorgyan, both residents of Yerevan. The two were driving a Toyota vehicle with the license plate 85 CC 558, operated by K. Kasaryan. Inside the vehicle, a yellowish substance was found, along with two droppers, one of which had dark stains on it.
K. Kasaryan informed the police that the discovered substance was drugs and belonged to him for personal use. The Arabkir division's investigative department is preparing materials on the matter. K. Kasaryan and D. Gevorgyan have been released, with the investigator ordering various expert examinations.
According to the source, K. Kasaryan works as a senior specialist at Gazprom Armenia CJSC, while his father, Andranik Kasaryan, has served for many years as the head of the architecture and urban planning department of the Yerevan city hall.
