Details on the Armed Robbery at Haybiznesbank: The Perpetrator is an Architect

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has reported the arrest of 46-year-old Vazrik Mikaelyan, a resident of the Nor Nork administrative district of Yerevan, following an armed robbery at the Haybiznesbank branch located at 4th Totoentsi Alley.

According to Shamshyan.com, a criminal case has been opened against Mikaelyan for committing an armed robbery. On June 10th, around 16:45, he entered the bank, armed with a hunting rifle, and made threats.

Police officer Haykaz Mayilian, from the Main Department of State Protection of the Police, risked his life to subdue the armed assailant with assistance from bank employees and citizens. During the confrontation, shots were fired, but fortunately, there were no injuries. The bank's office ceiling sustained damage from the gunfire.

According to reports, Mikaelyan works as a line control architect at the Yerevan-Trans Closed Joint-Stock Company. Previously, it was reported that on June 10th, an armed robbery occurred in Yerevan when the assailant entered the Haybiznesbank branch and attempted to carry out an armed action.
