57.9 Grams of Suspected Substances Seized

An unknown individual, under still unidentified circumstances and time frame, threw a package into the secured area of the Armenian Ministry of Justice's "Prison Hospital" with the intent to distribute narcotics. The package was discovered on June 8, 2019, by the staff of the correctional facility during a regular inspection of the secure zone.

Upon examination of the package, it was revealed that it contained 39.5 grams of an opiate-like substance, 11.2 grams of a greenish, pungent-smelling plant material, 5.3 grams of a light brown powder-like substance, 1.9 grams of a brown, pungent, viscous plant material, and one pill labeled "B 8". The seized items have been confiscated. Relevant materials are being prepared regarding the incident, and a forensic chemical examination has been ordered.
