Tragic Car Accident and Fire in Ararat Region Claims Driver's Life
Today, June 6, a tragic car accident and fire occurred in the Ararat region. At approximately 4:20 AM, the operational management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call reporting that a vehicle was on fire in the village of Shahumyan.
According to Shamshyan.com, it has been established that 34-year-old Edgar Ghazaryan, a resident of the village of Taperakan in the Ararat region, lost control of his VAZ 2121 vehicle with license plate number 17 LS 845 on Yerem Karapetyan Street in Shahumyan village. He veered into oncoming traffic, collided with an iron electric pole, knocked it down, and continued forward before crashing head-on into a building's wall.
As a result of the accident, a fire broke out, and by the time the firefighters arrived, the vehicle had completely turned to ash. The driver was transported to the Artashat Medical Center with bodily injuries but succumbed to his injuries without regaining consciousness.
