VIDEO: Cruise Ship Collides with Ferry in Venice, Several Injured
A cruise ship has collided with a sightseeing ferry in Venice, resulting in injuries to four individuals.
The cruise ship, measuring 54 meters in height and 275 meters in length, capable of accommodating over 2,600 passengers, struck the ferry carrying 110 passengers while entering the Giudecca Canal. The collision was reportedly caused by a technical issue that arose with the large vessel.
According to Reuters, the injured individuals are tourist women from the United States, Australia, and New Zealand. This incident has once again prompted calls from Italians to ban the entry of large ships into Venice.
