Fire Breaks Out in a Room of a Yerevan Dormitory, One Injured
The Emergency Situations Ministry's "911" service received a call today, June 3rd, at 19:43, reporting that a fire broke out in one of the apartments of building number 56a on Garegin Nzhdeh Street in Yerevan. There are reported injuries, according to the ministry's press service.
Two firefighting teams from the Emergency Situations Ministry's Rescue Service were dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that the fire originated in a room of the dormitory. The fire was extinguished by local forces. Bedding materials were partially burned.
Rescue workers assisted two residents: D.K. (born in 1990, suffering from smoke inhalation) and D.A. (born in 1978), who were transported to an ambulance.
D.K. was hospitalized at the "Armenia" Medical Center, where he received appropriate medical treatment and has since been discharged. The paramedics provided necessary medical assistance to D.A. on the spot.
