Opponent Violated Ceasefire 220 Times
From May 26 to June 1, the Azerbaijani armed forces violated the ceasefire regime in the Artsakh-Azerbaijan contact line approximately 220 times, during which they fired more than 3,500 shots at Armenian positions using firearms of various calibers. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Artsakh.
Notably, 80 of the recorded violations occurred during the night from May 31 to June 1, when the Azerbaijani military fired around 2,350 rounds, the majority from sniper rifles and large-caliber weapons. As a result, on June 1, around 07:30, an Armenian serviceman, 23-year-old Sipan Serzhiki Melikonyan, sustained a fatal gunshot wound while stationed at one of the units deployed in the southeastern direction of the Defense Army.
