Video: What will remain of a 'classic' MP if they abandon their class? MP from 'My Step'
MP Hamazasp Danielyan from the 'My Step' faction approached the podium with a glass of yogurt in hand during his speech. He referred to the heated debate between Edmon Marukyan and Hovhannes Hovhannisyan regarding political involvement in universities during yesterday's session of the National Assembly.
“Mr. Marukyan talks about high standards and conflicts of interest, but he still hasn’t said whether any of the candidates are connected to him or not. I have no personal relations with either of them,” he stated.
Danielyan also addressed Marukyan's claim that the vote for the selection of a Constitutional Court judge had been influenced by someone from 'My Step', saying, “Do you have a guarantee that the writer was from 'My Step'? It was a closed secret ballot. Do you have a guarantee that none from your faction did this, or that you didn’t do it to create a show afterward? What kind of approach is this?”
He further recalled the speech of Taron Simonian from the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction two days prior at the same podium, who said that we should not waste time and be constructive, building bridges. “How can you build bridges with people whose words are equal to water? Bridges are not built on water,” he remarked, once again calling for remaining constructive and within the boundaries of facts.
“In the end, what will remain of a 'classic' MP if that MP abandons their class and it disappears? What will be left underneath?” he pondered, explaining why he approached the podium with a glass of yogurt.
“Since you love performances, costumes, and so on, I call on you to not poison this working environment with them,” he emphasized.
