Julian Assange has been tortured and abused, says UN special rapporteur
The UN Special Rapporteur on Torture, Nils Melzer, has stated that Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, has been tortured.
According to the Times, signs of psychological torture are evident in Assange, particularly with regard to recurring anxiety attacks and stress.
“Assange exhibits all the signs of a person who has been subjected to long-term pressure and torture,” Melzer said.
It was previously reported that Assange is under medical supervision.
