Moscow and Kyiv Will Negotiate When Galustyan Becomes President of Russia: Saakashvili
The former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, has stated the conditions under which Moscow and Kyiv could engage in negotiations. In an interview on our television channel, Saakashvili revealed that upon his arrival in Kyiv, he was met by Russian journalists who wanted to ask about Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“I told them, ‘Guys, you have your friend Galustyan. When Galustyan becomes president, when the Russian people say, ‘We are fed up with Putin, we are choosing Galustyan,’ then you can talk to us,’” the politician recounted.
It is worth noting that on May 29, Ukraine's newly elected President Volodymyr Zelensky reinstated Saakashvili's Ukrainian citizenship, after which Saakashvili returned to Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Chief Prosecutor's Office of Georgia intends to continue the extradition process for the political figure.
In Georgia, several criminal cases have been initiated against Saakashvili, some of which have resulted in his being sentenced in absentia to imprisonment.
