Military Helicopter Crashes in Ukraine, Casualties Reported
A military helicopter has crashed in Ukraine, resulting in casualties. According to the Facebook page of the country’s Ground Forces, the aviation accident occurred during a training flight.
“Preliminary reports indicate that four members of the crew, along with the commander of the 16th separate brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Army Aviation, were killed in the aviation disaster,” the statement reads.
The crash occurred on the evening of May 29, near the village of Sestryagino in the Rivne region.
Emergency services and law enforcement personnel are working at the crash site. A commission from the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Ground Forces of Ukraine has also arrived. The causes of the accident are under investigation.
