Law Enforcement Investigates Incident Involving Supporters of Samvel Babayan

The office of Samvel Babayan has released information regarding an incident that occurred on the night of May 29 on the Sevan-Martuni road involving Babayan’s supporters. This was reported by Edgar Janoyan, the Deputy Head of the Public Relations Department of the Armenian Police, on his Facebook page.

"We would like to inform you that prior to this announcement, the police already had operational data, and under the instructions of the police chief, necessary operational-investigative measures were taken and are currently ongoing to identify all participants in the incident, establish their whereabouts, and clarify all circumstances of what occurred. The measures are ongoing. An investigation is underway," wrote Edgar Janoyan.

It is worth noting that the office of Samvel Babayan issued a statement saying that on the night of May 29, around 03:30, supporters and comrades of Samvel Babayan, who have fought alongside him and served in military structures, were pursued by a band known to the residents of Artsakh on the Sevan-Martuni highway. Their path was blocked, and gunfire was directed at them.
