Large Drug Importation Case Uncovered

During a control operation at the Meghri customs checkpoint, a suitcase belonging to E.F. was found to contain a 3 kg solid gray mass, resembling the drug type 'methamphetamine', packaged in black self-adhesive tape.

The smugglers had concealed it in a pre-prepared hiding place at the bottom of the suitcase. A criminal case has been initiated at the Investigative Department of the State Revenue Committee based on the characteristics of part 2 of Article 267.1 of the RA Criminal Code. Iranian citizens have been arrested.
