It is not acceptable to take tape from the garbage and wrap it up. Pashinyan on the situation near the statue of Myasnikyan

During today’s government meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the deplorable condition of monuments and statues placed in parks. His comments primarily focused on the tiles on the columns adjacent to the statue of Myasnikyan. Pashinyan emphasized the need for immediate restoration.

He then recalled the recent incident involving the destruction of a statue in a newly opened park. Instead of the police chief, the acting police chief Vladimir Movsisyan was present at the meeting. The Prime Minister asked him why the individual who damaged the statue had not yet been identified. Movsisyan responded that the identity had been determined through camera footage, but they had not yet apprehended the person within these two days.

“This is very bad. If the person is on camera, we still can't identify them in two days; how many days would it take if they weren’t on camera? Find them quickly,” Pashinyan stated.

He also ordered the removal of old, ugly tapes that restrict access to the Myasnikyan statue area and instructed to replace them with police barricades. Pashinyan further noted that he sees no difference in responsibility; issues regarding falling stones from the statue need to be resolved swiftly.
