VIDEO. I Absolutely Do Not Intend to Meet Them: Alen Simonyan on Protest Participants

A protest is currently taking place near the National Assembly entrance, with around 1000 people gathered. They are demanding a meeting with the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan.

In response to ArmLur.am's correspondent, Alen Simonyan stated that he does not plan to meet with the protesters.

When asked by a reporter about the percentage of people who are mostly playing online games, Simonyan replied that those who are dissatisfied should present a specific program, and they would consider it. When asked if Simonyan intends to meet with the demonstrators, he reiterated that he does not plan to meet with them.

Referring to a statement from one of the protesters, who claimed she would be left without a job, the reporter directed a question to Simonyan. The latter responded that the woman is not sitting at gaming machines and could find new work within 1 to 1.5 years. According to Simonyan, they have fulfilled some of the offers presented by betting companies, but now, he notes, different demands are being set that are more profitable for them.
