Nazarbayev Appointed Honorary President of Eurasian Economic Supreme Council on Putin's Proposal

Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed that Kazakhstan's former president Nursultan Nazarbayev be appointed as the honorary president of the Eurasian Economic Supreme Council.

According to nur.kz, the announcement was made during the anniversary session of the EAEU Supreme Council in Nur-Sultan.

It was noted that the proposal to appoint Nazarbayev as the honorary president of the organization was initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. He made this proposal considering the significant contribution the political figure made to the establishment of the EAEU.

During the EAEU Council meeting held in Nur-Sultan, Nazarbayev awarded the Medal of Nazarbayev to the Presidents of Russia and Belarus, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko.
