Kapan Pickpocket Came to Yerevan on Business

On May 27, a report was received at the police station that a woman’s wallet had been stolen on bus number 8.

The police report states that the employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Yerevan Police, specifically in the section combating pickpocketing, undertook appropriate measures and found that the pickpocket was a 33-year-old man living in the city of Kapan. He was identified and taken to the police station the same day at France Square.

The detained individual provided a confession. The owner of the wallet refused to file a complaint. Measures are being taken to recover the stolen item, and pertinent materials are being prepared.
