Today, a monument dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Aram Manukyan, the founder of the First Republic of Armenia and a prominent political figure, was solemnly inaugurated at the Sardarapat Memorial Complex, which houses the museum of Armenian ethnography and the history of the liberation struggle.
The complex, crafted from red tuff and standing six meters tall, was built with the support of Vahagn Lafoyan, the Honorary Consul of Armenia in Toronto. The design is credited to architect Haik Asatryan and sculptor Artak Hambardzumyan.
