I will be included in the 'blacklist', and so what? Pozner on visiting Artsakh

Famous journalist and television presenter Vladimir Pozner regrets that during his recent visit to Armenia, he could not travel to Nagorno-Karabakh. He spoke about this in an interview with the Armenian Public Television.

Pozner noted that he has a great affection for Armenia and considers Armenians to be a very intelligent nation. He emphasized his admiration for the unique ability of Armenians to live and survive in difficult conditions. Pozner also appreciates the ability of Armenians to enjoy life regardless of circumstances.

“Unfortunately, I have not been to Nagorno-Karabakh. I would have loved to go, but I didn’t have time. I would have gone to express my position, so that everyone, including the gentlemen from Azerbaijan, would understand that my heart is on that side, not the other,” he said. Moreover, Pozner stated that he is not bothered by Baku's 'blacklist'; on the contrary, it only brings a smile to his face.

“Well, I will be included in the ‘blacklist’, and so what? I think I will continue to sleep peacefully at night,” the journalist emphasized.

Pozner also shared his impressions from his communication with Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. According to him, it is very important, if not the most important, for the head of government to value the profession of journalism.

“I was even thinking of telling him that you can’t be both a journalist and a prime minister at the same time. He is a very down-to-earth person in communication, and it is pleasant to talk with him. Pashinyan has a listening ability, which is rare among people in such positions. Nikol Pashinyan is a smart man,” Pozner said.
