Gazprom Armenia Company to Receive Warning
The agenda of the Public Services Regulatory Commission's meeting on May 29 includes a draft decision regarding the warning of Gazprom Armenia Closed Joint Stock Company.
The commission reports that Vahtang Margaryan, a representative of Telemax Gas Limited Liability Company, has applied to the PSRC regarding the higher prices paid compared to other companies for the natural gas consumed by the auto gas filling stations (AGLPG) owned by Gazprom Armenia, issues related to the technical maintenance of gas consumption equipment, and the presentation of payment documents for the consumed natural gas.
Additionally, it has been noted that Gazprom Armenia initiated the verification of the commercial accounting devices at the subscriber's expense and the replacement of G-650 and G-250 type commercial accounting devices with G-160 type devices without compensation for pricing, among other concerns.
The suspension of gas supply to the AGLPGs at the addresses 61/4 and 61/5 on Gagarin Street in the Gegharkunik region of Armenia was cited as a violation of the natural gas supply and use rules established by the commission's decision No. 95N dated July 8, 2005, along with the failure to restore gas supply after payments were made for gas consumed on March 7, 2019.
After reviewing the above issues, the commission decides that:
- The company will be warned for the violations.
- The company is instructed to:
- Reimburse the unjustified expenses related to the verification of the commercial accounting devices of Telemax Gas Limited Liability Company within one month and inform the commission about the results.
- Restore gas supply to the AGLPGs located at the addresses 61/4 and 61/5 on Gagarin Street in the Gegharkunik region in accordance with established procedures.
- The company acknowledges that it has the right to appeal this decision to the Commission or to the Administrative Court of the Republic of Armenia within two months after the decision comes into force.
- This decision takes effect the day after the company is legally notified.
